rtSurvey lets you build powerful forms and workflows to collect the data you need wherever it is. You can:

  1. Build powerful forms that include photos, GPS locations, skip logic, calculations, external datasets, multiple languages, and more.
  2. Collect data offline with either the mobile app or the web app. Forms and submissions are synced when an Internet connection is found.
  3. Analyze with ease by downloading your data as a CSV or linking rtSurvey to Excel, Power BI, Python, or R to create live-updating dashboards.

1. Get a rtSurvey Cloud

To obtain rtSurvey Cloud, the quickest and simplest method is to use the official managed hosting service called rtSurvey Cloud. It is available on rtSurvey’s website and is built on a fast, dependable, and secure infrastructure.

2. Upload your XLSForm to rtCloud or build a form using Form Builder (Beta)

  1. Create a form definition using XLSForm or try this All Widgets form.
  2. Upload your XLSForm to rtCloud <rtCloud-forms-upload>{.interpreted-text role=“ref”} and publish it.

3. Get the rtSurvey app

To download the rtSurvey app, follow these steps based on your device:

For Android Devices:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for “rtSurvey” in the search bar.
  3. Tap on the app with the rtSurvey logo.
  4. Click on the “Install” button to download and install the app on your Android device.

For iOS Devices:

  1. Open the App Store on your iOS device.
  2. Search for “rtSurvey” in the search tab.
  3. Locate the app with the rtSurvey logo.
  4. Tap on the “Get” button to download and install the app on your iOS device.

Once the app is downloaded and installed, you can launch it and start using rtSurvey for survey and analytics services.

4. Connect Collect to rtCloud

  1. Create an App User <rtCloud-users-app-overview>{.interpreted-text role=“ref”} in rtCloud and assign your form to that user <rtCloud-projects-form-access>{.interpreted-text role=“ref”}.
  2. Open Collect, tap Configure with QR code{.interpreted-text role=“guilabel”} and scan the code created for your App User.

5. Fill your form in Collect

  1. Select Fill Blank Form{.interpreted-text role=“guilabel”} to fill out your form.
  2. Your form data will be automatically sent to rtCloud when you finish.

6. Use your data in rtCloud

  1. Log into rtCloud and see your data.
  2. Download your data as a CSV or visualize it in Power BI <rtCloud-submissions-odata>{.interpreted-text role=“ref”}.
